3-year-old Boy Damages Neighbor's Car; You Won't Believe What Happens Next

If you're not a believer of the saying honesty is the best policy, then this story might change your mind.

We all know how expensive car repairs could get; repairing under the hood or a cosmetic damage, it does not matter. There really is no other way getting around fixing a car - but the expensive way. So imagine how infuriated this neighbor was finding out that his car was damaged, and worst, he has no idea how it happened, womansday.com has the story.

Turns out, a 3-year-old kid accidentally hit the neighbor's car when opening the car door. His parents knew the accompanying cost that comes with fixing a car, and it for sure would not be cheap. So, they had to make an important decision - pretend like they have nothing to do with the obvious dent on the neighbor's car and get away with the repair costs, or own up to their little boy's crafty work.

You would never guess what happens next.

The parents decided to be honest and informed their neighbor about the incident, with a promise to cover all the expenses for the repair. And now, the photo of the neighbor's bill has gone viral.

The bill was sent to the family, and it will surely make you smile. The boy's mother posted the bill and note via Facebook which revealed why it's one of a kind:

"My silly three-year-old accidentally hit a neighbour's car last week when opening his door. We admitted it at the time and told the owner we'd pay for the repair (cheaper than going through insurance). Chased him up today and got this invoice..." the mother posted on her Facebook account, inquistr.com reports.

The post also included the photo of the actual bill and you have to see it!

What an awesome neighbor! After itemizing the staggering cost, with "tea" and "biscuits" spent while pondering for the repair included, the total was a whopping $2900. Phew! But wait, at the bottom of the letter reads a big sign that says NO CHARGE!

That's right! The parents did not have to pay the neighbor any amount, but had a very special request task:

"The only thing we ask is that you keep taking our parcels in when we are not here, thanks!" the neighbor concluded.

This story only shows how rewarding it is to choose honesty in the most tempting times to choose otherwise. So the next time you scratch somebody's car, think about this story.
