Royal Family News: Details On Princess Charlotte's Upcoming Christening; Who Will Be There

A celebration fit for a Royal Princess! It has been almost two months since Princess Charlotte made her very first public appearance outside St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, together with her parents just hours after she was born. And on July 5, she will make her second public appearance for her Christening, and you are invited, People reports.

The fourth in line to the British Royal Throne is set be christened with The Most Reverend Justin Welby presiding over the ceremony along with The Reverend Conan Jonathan Riviere and the  Rector of the Sandringham group of parishes.

The ceremony will be private but fans are invited to gather around the Paddock to witness the royal family stroll St. Mary Magdalene Church of the Sandringham Estate, which is two miles away from the couple's country home, on their way to the ceremony; the same traditional walk they do for Christmas. Prince George, 2, will join his parents in the walk if the weather permits and what is set to be a special treat to the fans.

"The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the warm wishes they have received since Princess Charlotte's birth - many of them from local people in Norfolk - and are delighted the paddock can be opened on the day of the christening," in a statement released by the palace.

A source tells PEOPLE that the celebration will be a "happy, family day in the country." "It is something they are looking forward to sharing with the local community," the source adds.

Godparents are believed to come from the family's closest friends, and other guests invited include great-grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip plus her grandparents Prince of Wales Prince Charles, Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, Michael and Carole Middleton, and other relatives in addition to, of course, parents Kate Middleton, Prince William, and older brother, Prince George, 23 months, USmagazine reports.

Unfortunately, missing from the festivity will be Princess Charlotte's uncle, Prince Harry, who is set to fly by the end of the month to Namibia for the summer and work with the Nature Conservancy and Save the Rhino Trust.

No news on celebrities and political personalities as guests but fans will just have to wait for the day of the christening. What's certain is the festive atmosphere come the day of the christening.
