Details about "Frozen 2" have been slim. Until now, fans are in the dark when it comes to the movie's storyline. However, there are rumors that a new character, who also happens to be a villain, will be introduced in the sequel.
According to Cross Map, the new villain who will be coming to Arendelle is the exact opposite of Elsa. The fiery character will go head-to-head with the latter and her sister Anna because of her alleged mission.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors that Prince Hans will have a change of heart in "Frozen 2." In the original film, Hans appeared to be a good man who was willing to do anything and everything for Anna and Elsa. However, it was later on revealed that he just wanted both of them dead.
In "Frozen 2," Hans will reportedly be portrayed as the good guy everyone thought he was. In fact, there are also rumors that he will be helping Anna and Elsa in saving Arendelle.
As for who will give life to Anna and Elsa, it was recently confirmed by Disney that Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell will return to the franchise to lend their voice to their respective characters.
In other news, there are rumors that "Frozen 2" will explore homosexuality themes. Fans are speculating that Elsa could finally find her love interest in the sequel, but she could be a woman.
However, Christian Today noted that homosexuality themes may not be featured in "Frozen 2" because the film is primarily targeted among young children. Although the film was widely embraced by teenagers and adults, the animated film's main target audience are still kids.
"Frozen 2" will reportedly be released in theaters in the United States in 2018, and film creators Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will both return to the franchise.
