Zumper Raises $6.4M To Fund Larger Real Estate Platform Project

Zumper is an online community startup which targets to cater the needs of over 100 million rental seekers across the United States. Through the use of modern technology, Zumper allows an easy access database of rent-related information. Users can access can platform from their handheld devices or their personal computer units. It offers a wide range of services from finding a sophisticated apartment to filing an application for your dream unit. Through the use of a B2B and Consumer approach, Zumper revolutionizes the market deals for home seekers.

In an exclusive interview by TechCrunch , Anthemos Georgiades, co-founder and CEO of Zumper, has announced that the platform has seemingly exceeded 1.5 million monthly visits. Among those visits, 70 percent came from access through mobile devices. Also, it has exceeded its $1 million annual revenue rate.

"We went out to do a short, sharp raise to put more money in the bank ahead of a large Series B next year. Our month on month growth across every single metric is in the double digit percentages, and has been for 15 months straight. We have the most rental listings of any platform in the US, and we are delivering the only world in which renters can make binding applications on apartments during appointments and open houses from their iPhone or Android devices. This is how this industry will work in a decade, and we're the first to deliver it," stated by Georgiades.

Most of these transactions were made through the Zumper Pro, an advanced platform that enables stakeholders to engage in tenant screening and marketing. The rest, however, were processed through data feeds, allowing direct access to landlords and other stakeholders.

With a team of 20 members based in SoMa San Francisco, Zumper has successfully managed to raise $14.6 million venture capital. With the additional $6.4 Million, Zumper aims to target more clients by maximizing utilization of the tech world.
