Here are the 5 Hottest Design Trends for your Furniture

Are you about to give your house a make-over for this year? Or do you intend to redecorate a room just to give it a fresher look? Or, maybe you have just moved in to bare house and you still have no idea how to start designing the place?

Aside from focusing on the theme you want or the budget you have, take a look at these designing trends for 2015 provided by Zillow Digs in order to help you mix and match your design ideas.

1. Wallpaper

"Wallpaper is coming back in a big way," says Zillow Digs designer Jamie Beckwith of Beckwith Interiors. This year, it's time to say good bye to solid-colored walls, and say hello to digital prints, patterned wallpaper designs, and digital wall coverings.

This 2015, Zillow Digs reported that consumers should "expect to see a rise in available color and texture selections in home stores to accommodate the increased demand for patterned or textured accent walls."

Wallpapers open an entirely vast set of options for you to choose from, depending on your taste or your family's preference. You can go crazy with purple mixed with white flowers printed out, or have a more demure lime green wallpaper on your room.

2. Gold Fixtures

"In 2015 homeowners will no longer be limited to silver or stainless steel fixtures, and will feel free to mix and match finish colors, or go bold with all gold," Zillow Digs reported.

Don't worry about becoming tacky, because this year, the nostalgic 80s and early 90s are making a comeback with gold on fixtures.

3. Blue Accent Colors

"Pops of indigo blue or deep navy will become a staple in home design this year, as their deep natural hues become extra vibrant against warm earth tones like Marsala," said Zillow Digs home design expert, Kerrie Kelly.

Blue is considered to be the most popular accent color for 2015. Designers also recommend this color as a complement to Marsala, this year's Pantone Color of the Year.

4. Cowhide

The cowhide accent is here to stay.

"Cowhide is the ideal accent texture for 2015's modern, yet approachable design aesthetic. Zillow Digs Designers say elements of cowhide will find their way into pillows, rugs, throw blankets, and even artwork this coming year. Its neutral hue and natural texture make it the perfect complement for bolder statement pieces," Zillow Digs reported.

This is your chance to try a cowhide rug for your living room, or maybe add cowhide pillows in the bedroom.

5. Modern or Mid-Century Elements

Retro is certainly making its way this year as Zillow Digs experts also recommend modern design elements dated from the 1950s to the 1970s for your home.

Still, designers "advise homeowners to be careful when integrating into homes, as the trend is great for inspiration, but shouldn't take over the house."
