'X-Men Apocalypse' Movie Update: New Stills Teased by Director Bryan Singer, No Channing Tatum's Gambit in the Film

The "X-Men" franchise is rolling once again, and this time "X-Men: Apocalypse" Director Bryan Singer has sent out teasers from the film set itself. A report from comingsoon.net shows the stills from the actual shoot.

In one shot, Singer is giving Sophie Turner, the "Game of Thrones" star who will play Jean Grey, a tutorial on archery. In another post, Singer posted a video of a gimbal in motion, shaking and moving apparently in an actual scene from the film.

Meanwhile, there is a much-anticipated character in the "X-Men" series that still has to make a cameo appearance. The character is Remy LeBeau, who is known as Gambit. It was recently reported, however, that the character that will be played by Channing Tatum will not appear in the upcoming installment of the film. According to a report from screenrant.com, the main movers to get the film off the ground are Channing Tatum and "X-Men" producer Lauren Shuler Donner.

The solo film of Gambit will reportedly start rolling after the completion of "X-Men: Apocalypse." Tatum, for his part, has said, "We finally found someone that I really do believe wants to make Gambit, it will be the second standalone character, and I really think because Gambit is not the most popular or the biggest hero, I think there's a really unique opportunity. Marvel's done a lot of great movies that have made a ridiculous amount of money, and it's always good to figure how to change the form."

Aside from Turner, other cast members of "X-Men Apocalypse" includes Michael Fassbender as Magneto, James McAvoy as Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and Nicholas Hoult as the Beast. Also returning to reprise their roles in the "X-Men" saga are Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Lucas Till as Havok and Evan Peters as Quicksilver.

Other cast members that will be introduced in the film are Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee. Donning the villainous visage of Apocalypse is Oscar Isaac.
