Calling all ye paranormal experts, ghost hunters, and spirit adventurists! A house described to be occupied by a poltergeist is available for rent on Rightmove for £91 per week.
In a story by Mirror, the house located at Pickwick Street, Toxteth, was reported by its former residents to be haunted by a 135-year-old ghost from the 1800s. One female tenant named Mrs Euphemia Nimlock, experienced being lifted up by the ghost ala exorcist from her bed. Another resident, Ismael Jones, claimed that the violent spirit shook another house to the extent that everybody thought it was going to collapse.
Plus Dane, the social housing group that owns the property has also confirmed reports that mysterious and eerie phenomenon have been experienced by past residents to them since 2008, the Liverpool Echo reports.
According to Tom Slemen, local paranormal expert, the ghost in the Toxteth house was known as the Pickwick Poltergeist and was first reported over 130 years ago. Unlike other ghosts, this ghost is believed to get around haunting different houses along Pickwick Street.
The listing of the haunted house describes the property as a "3-bedroom terraced house in a popular location off Park Road, close to the Tesco Superstore. It has two singles and one double bedroom, rear yard, upstairs bathroom and two living rooms." It also warns interested tenants that paranormal activity has been experienced at the property by previous tenants.
A spokesman for Plus Dane explained that they truly received reports of mysterious activities at this property. While they don't directly get involved in any effort to drive out the spirits or exorcise possessed people, they help tenants experiencing such problems by advising and supporting them. Telling the public that the property is haunted is part of its policy for transparency and honesty.
