"American Horror Story: Hotel" stars Kathy Bates and Finn Wittrock recently teased Lady Gaga's involvement in the fifth installment of Ryan Murphy's FX horror series. In an interview with Variety, Bates said she's excited over the singer's casting because she's perfect for the show.
Wittrock seconded Bates' statement and said, "I was like, 'Perfect!' Ryan always has a way of outdoing himself. It's hard to keep surprising people when each season is so surprising. He very wisely makes a big awesome casting choice to get people intrigued. This was the epitome of that."
The actor also raved about the "Born This Way" singer's theatricality and the gratuity of her own image. "It actually makes a lot of sense for her to be on this show. The show is heightened and gothic and that's sort of what she is. It's a good omen for the way the season will turn out," he added.
Wittrock added that although he has not yet met Lady Gaga personally, he's really looking forward to working with her closely in "American Horror Story: Hotel." In fact, he went on to admit that he's a huge fan of the singer, according to Contact Music.
"I'm a huge fan of hers. I know she's gonna bring so much to the table and you'll see it with our storyline so I'm really excited about that," he concluded.
In other news, Wittrock also talked about his role on "American Horror Story: Hotel." When asked which part of the show he likes best, the actor said that it's the wardrobe.
"The clothes. I just got to wear really nice Brooks Brothers suits and really go for it. That was fun. The best thing about the show is getting to work with the best people, and really going to dark depths with them," he said.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" Season 5 will premiere this fall.
