Frank Sinatra's 'Villa Magio,' named after his character in 'From Here to Eternity,' is listed on the market for $3.95 million. The estate rests above the Palm Desert on a granite plateau in the mountains.

LA Curbed reports that the Palm Desert compound was built to entertain the Oscar winner's Rat Pack colleagues and other famous names. Taking refuge on and off the villa for 12 years, Sinatra graced the property with fellow Rat Pack members Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop, along with other privileged guests, according to Daily Mail. Sinatra picked architect Ross Patton to custom design the compound for entertainment and privacy, reports LA Times. The five-acre compound became the singer's sanctuary for many years.

Commissioned in 1967, the compound comprises a lighted pool/spa, tennis courts, parking for 24, and a helipad. Its owner and visitors can enjoy the stunning view of Palm Desert and Coachella Valley, as the estate is elevated 4,300 feet. The exterior of the main house contains native stones and shingles, while the interior is said to be due for a light update, according to LA CurbedLA Times describes the main lodge as made of wood and local stone, containing five fireplaces, multiple viewing decks, and hardwood floors. Five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a den, two kitchens, dining and living rooms are some of the features of the main lodge.

The guest house, according to LA Curbed, has its own generator, water tower, and water well in case doomsday comes. The two-story house contains three bedrooms. Just when you thought there are already enough houses, a pool house is especially up for everyone's entertainment. The pool house contains a master suite, two bedrooms, a stone fireplace, two saunas, and a kitchenette. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool and spa, a lighted tennis/basketball court, and a large patio with a fire pit off the pool house, reports LA Times

The 6,428 square-foot living space has been maintained well by its current owners, says LA Times. After leaving the home, Sinatra achieved renewed creativity and created some of his famous works, including 'Theme from New York, New York,' reports Daily Mail. The singer died at 82 in 1998.

After 3 years, Casa Maggio is back on the market. Who could be the next owner of Sinatra's desert mansion?
