Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Specs, Announcement: Device To Launch After Windows 10?

Software giant Microsoft is slated to release a new upgraded version of its Surface Pro product line dubbed as Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Speculations about its official release and the device's full specifications have been making the rounds online, and a report from ITPro said that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be unveiled on July 29 this year alongside Windows 10.

ChristianToday has also reported that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is indeed likely to be announced after Windows 10 comes out on the same date. The report noted that the launch of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will eventually change the landscape of the tablet industry usually dominated by Samsung and Apple.

Microsoft's "laplet" device is rumored to sport Intel's Broadwell processors, which will be thinner and quieter, and could have a mini version of cards. A report from Techradar, on the other hand, disclosed that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will have Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with the usual stylus pen. The price of the device, however, will reportedly cost between $1,200 to $2,000, which is quite expensive.

The Surface Pro 4 will also reportedly have a 12-inch display with a 2160X1440 resolution, while its storage capacity will share the same specification with its predecessor, the Surface Pro 3, with a 64GB to 1TB storage capacity.

ITPro also reported that Microsoft Surface Pro 4's battery life will increase by 30 percent, with the possibility of the dual core processors being replaced by Broadwell chips. The device will also apparently have a 16 GB RAM. Microsoft said that it will continue to push more hardware upgrades to serve its consumers better as it plans to take a piece of the tablet PC market share.
