Olivia Newton John Net Worth: Star's 'Haunted' Home No Longer for Sale

Olivia Newton-John finally withdrew her roughly $4.6 million home from the market after it has been unsold for two years. According to Express, the star has previously slashed the asking price for the house located in the exclusive neighborhood of Jupiter Inlet but still wasn't able to attract bidders.

The "Grease" star's home had been in the process of being sold to TV personality Rosie O'Donnell, but during the time, a builder working on the home committed suicide on the property. Express reports that an exorcism was already performed on the property but it still remained on the market without any bidder.

According to one realtor, despite being located in the area and having 6,300 square feet of prime real estate, the "haunting" seem to be the reason why no one wanted to buy the property. "No one wanted to buy a home where someone had taken their life. It just had a bad vibe and people were not interested when they found out what had taken place."

This is not the first time that Newton-John had a "haunted" home. According to report from au.lifestyle.yahoo.com, the singer purchased an oceanfront mansion located at Retreat Court in 2005 for $6.8 million to be shared with her then-boyfriend Patrick McDermott. McDermott and Newton-John were dating for nine years when suddenly McDermott was lost at sea during an overnight fishing trip.

Since then the house had never been the same, according to some insiders. One insider said, "For the first few months Olivia would walk into various rooms, especially the master bedroom, and everything would remind her of the man she once loved so deeply. Although she eventually tried to move on with her life, she felt as though the spirit of her ex-lover haunted the house. She said sometimes it was as though he were still sitting in the living room next to the fireplace, his favorite spot."
