Pebble Time Review: Can Pebble's Latest Watch Do Better than Apple?

Apple's watch maybe the current hippest thing to hit the timepiece arena, however, it does take loads of cash to get those badboys around your wrist. But there will always be another option, The Pebble. According to Cnet.com's review of the timepiece, it offers you the usual ups and downs of a product but the best thing about this piece of technology is the price.

Let us first take a look at the cons. The display is sometimes hard to read most specially under dim lights. Imagine your Gameboy, but this time, it's on your wrist, that's how bad the display is. Some of the fitness apps are not even as polished as Apple's. Additionally, it is not a touchscreen watch.

Before you go back to fully deciding on getting an Apple watch, let's check out the Pebble watch's best features. Unlike Apple's, you can use The Pebble whenever you want to have a dip in your pool or in case you forgot to take it off when you hit the showers. Do keep in mind though that like all watches, it still has a certain degree of limitation, but still, it is water resistant. Battery life is better than all of its competitors - at a maximum, you can have it working for three days without charging. You can also place in tons of apps and watch faces. Lastly and most probably the kicker factor of them all - it works both with Android and iPhone apps.

The Guardian also reviewed the watch and basically has the same verdict. It is as good as you get with Apple's for a much lower price. The Pebble is on sale at roughly $200, $300 less compared to Apple. The online review authority also praised The Pebble as the Casio of smartwatches, simple and easy to use.
