'Expendables 4' Cast, News & Release Date: Hulk Hogan Confirmed? Actor Talks Taking Villain Role

Hulk Hogan has confirmed that he and his good friend and "The Expendables" director Sylvester Stallone has been in talks on how he can fit into the franchise, Cinemablend reports. However, the 61-year-old wrestling legend said that nothing is set in stone yet and everything is still in the pipeline.

According to Screen Rant, Hogan and Stallone also discussed how they can make the former the most vile man in the planet if ever he will play the role of the lead villain. The WWE hall of fame inductee also said that there won't be an issue if he will play a supporting role in the film, like what Jean Claude Van Damme did in "The Expendables 3."

"The Expendables" franchise currently hangs in the balance since the latest outing only had an approximate $39.3 million international earnings, a very low output in comparison to the first two films. The latest installment of the action flick also took out two actors that starred in the first two movies, Terry Crews and Jason Statham. The producers decided to replace the two veterans with two rising actors, Ronda Rousey and Kellan Lutz. The move was aimed to draw more audience but failed miserably.

If the movie will push through and Hogan will play a role in the film, "The Expendables 4" would not be the first time that the wrestling legend and Stallone will share the screen. Hogan and Stallone starred together in the 1982 "Rocky III" film where Hogan played Thunderclips, the wrestler who slugged it out with Stallone's character, Rocky.

Hogan, though famous as a former WWE wrestler, is not new to the big screen. He has had his fair share of acting gigs, both on TV and films, most especially during the peak of his career as a wrestler.
