'Mortal Kombat X' Characters: Tanya DLC Patch Arriving Soon

According to Mortal Kombat series creator, Ed Boon, the next and newest DLC character for Mortal Kombat X, Tanya, would be available as a patch soon. Boon made the announcement via Twitter, where it read, "She's koming soon. In early June, or my name ain't Boon."

The character, according to a report from ign.com, is the first of the Kombat Pack's DLC characters. Also included in the pack is Jason Voorhees, the Predator, as well as Tremor. These characters are playable in Mortal Kombat X through the Kombat Pack. Also included are retro skins for series veterans Sonya, Kano, as well as Liu Kang.

Tanya, first came forth in Mortal Kombat 4, according to a report from cinemablend.com. She is a worshipper of Shinook but has become a minion of several other characters. For MKX, she is aligned with other baddie, Millena.

Amongst Tanya's other abilities is her acrobatic skills and her power to charge her punches and kicks with fire magic. She is also able to go invisible, in some instances. She has three variations, with styles such as Kobu Jutsu, Dragon Naginata, and Pyromancer. Unlike other characters, as reported on gameranx.com, Tanya is one female ninja character that did not wear a mask. She was also in Deception, wearing her now signature black and yellow garb. For MKX, she has cut her hair a little with an improved outfit and her new weapon, the naginata.

In another teaser, MK creator Ed Boon also hinted on Rain being part of MKX. One modder recently reported that there is a way to make unplayable characters from the story mode become playable. These characters include Rain, Sindel, and Baraka.

Mortal Kombat X is available for PC as well as PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PS3, all available by the summer as promised.
