iOS 9 Release Date: Redesign Features Leaked? New Apps, Multi-Functionality & More [Rumors]

With the 2015 Apple Worldwide Developers' Conference inching closer and closer, rumors about the features and specs of the highly-anticipated iOS 9 have surfaced online.

Based on the reports circulating, the latest version of Apple's operating system, the iOS 9, would be a major departure from its predecessors. Forbes wrote that the first glimpse of the new system will most likely be unveiled at Apple's annual WWDC event.

One of the supposed new features include a new and crucial "Home" app which is a "control hub for third part HomeKit products." The publication likened the feature to the Game Center app used for entertainment and games. Some of its abilities include being able to control smart thermostats, garage doors to coffee makers, cars and much more. 

In terms of its appearance, users may be treated to a new UI that incorporates visual tweaks as well as a change in the font. One of bigger, albeit the simplest change, would be the institution of a system wide font on the iOS9. Not only would it be seen in the new operating system, according to a report from 9to5mac.com, there would be an integration amongst all previous bundles, such as the OSX10.11 and others. It's reported the new OS may utilize the "San Francisco" font currently used on the Apple Watch. 

Further improving its functionality, Forbes reprots that the iOS 9 could bring out the could bring  multi-tasking that elevate the performance of iPads as well as the new iPhone 6 Plus. In addition, should the iPad Pro be unveiled, it will be a welcomed feature for business-related activities. 

With an expected 2015 WWDC unveiling, news about the iOS 9 would drop during the conference on June 8 to June 12.

In related news, there have been rumors though that instead of the iOS9, a version called iOS8.4 would be released.
