'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' DLC Patch Released For PS3

After what many gamers felt was a long wait, Sledgehammer Games has just released a new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Patch for PlayStation 3.

The announcement, made over the PlayStation Lifestyle Blog, follows an earlier Patch release for newest platforms PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC made available last April 27. Now, the game is available on PS3 with a number of additions and improvements to give better gameplay for all.

The in-game update offers a number of bug fixes as well as weapon updates, which include matchmaking improvements, connectivity optimizations as well as 5 issue fixes. Some weapons, namely the MK14and EPM3 received buffs for the headshot damage multiplier. The full list of updates for the PS3 is found below:

In-Game Updates

  • Matchmaking improvements.
  • Connectivity optimizations.
  • a rare crash issue when entering the System Link menu.
  • Fixed an issue where spectators in third person would see first person crosshairs on some weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where the stock of the ARX-160 would disappear when cloaked.
  • Fixed an issue where scopes would not display after viewing a player in third person Spectator mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the field of view would not change when changing from first person to third person in Spectator mode. 

In addition, other major upgrades were delivered for weapons as well as gaming UI.

Weapon Updates

  • MK14 - Increased headshot damage multiplier.
  • ASM1 - Reduced the magazine size.
  • Pytaek - Decreased initial recoil, decreased aim down sights time.
  • EPM3 - Increased the headshot damage multiplier, decreased the heat build up when firing.

UI Updates

  • Fixed a rare issue where the game could freeze when redeeming an item from the Armory.
  • Fixed an issue for the virtual firing range could display a higher than 100% accuracy when using shotguns and grenades.
  • Fixed an issue where arms without bodies would show up in the virtual lobby.
  • Fixed an issue where some players were not able to pass leadership of a party to another player in the party.

Other improvements include Game Mode modifications, such as the adjustment of spawning logic for Domination, Momentum, Capture the Flag, Hardpoint and Uplink game modes. There were also fixes on various issues such as inability to enter Free for All while on split screen mode as well as other minor improvements. See the complete list over at the PlayStation Lifestyle.

In related news, Segment Next wrote that Activision has removed the Advanced Supply Drop purchase limit for the PS3 platform. Unfortunately, the option would be temporarily deactivated making it unavailable for use by gamers.

As for Maps, updates were made for the issue on map exploits across different multiplayer maps and adjusted spawns for Drift for events before and after a dynamic map game. Even the exoskeleton was improved, allowing for adjusted damage when the EM1 is used. The Exo Zombies in the game also was modified, allowing for stationary play on a map without fear of zombie attacks and fire rate adjustment for weapons as against the secondary weapon usage.
