Google Nexus 2015 Phone Rumors: Release Date Soon? LG, Huawei Could Make Flagship with Better Specs, Features

Google Nexus 2015 is making the headlines once again with news that the Nexus 6 successor will be out in October or November. Sadly, the search giant has opted to keep details about the flagship device under wraps.

Still, even though Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOGL) is pretty tight-lipped about the company’s upcoming smartphone, the public has come up with speculations about what the specs could possibly be. Digital Trends has even reported that a popular Chinese mobile industry analyst claimed on Weibo that Huawei has something up its sleeve – with regards to a Nexus device.

According to the report, Huawei was making “a Nexus phone” that has “a 5.7-inch touch screen.” Moreover, the report went on to say that it may possibly feature a 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, and is going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

Other sources have also indicated that the next Nexus flagship smartphone might come out with a new set of specs. According to The International Business Times, it will sport some features that were spotted with the LG 4, such as its QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 with IPS Quantum display technology and special camera feature. Plus, it may also feature a very unique color spectrum sensor if Samsung decides to collaborate with Google one more time.

These rumored specs all sound so good, but, sadly, everything remains unconfirmed to date. However, it must be noted that Huawei was once associated with Google, especially before the Nexus 6 was launched. However, despite the link with Huawei, Google pushed through with letting Motorola make the device.

Furthermore, the report also mentioned that Google might forego working with Motorola this time around and might go back to working with LG. For those who are not aware, LG was the one that made the units that came before the Nexus 6, namely the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. That said, it is highly possible that the search mogul might decide to work with LG again.

To answer all questions, it is alleged that Google is going to give away some key details about the Nexus 2015 device at the company’s upcoming annual conference, the Google I/O 2015. According to the report, Google will be unveiling its new software, called the Android 6.0 “M” or Muffin, and fans are hopeful that they will also be revealing some important facts about the next flagship smartphone, too.
