'Furious 8' Cast & Rumors: Jordana Brewster Back Without Paul Walker, Mr Nobody Returns & More [Rumors]

The conclusion of the box office hit "Furious 7" saw Paul Walker's character Brian O'Connor and wife Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) welcoming their second child and seemingly ending their involvement with high speed car rides to raise their growing family.

This happy and sentimental send-off seemed to be the perfect way to conclude the journey of O'Conner and give fans closure over the untimely death of the popular celebrity.

While Brewster's character is tied in with departure of the O'Conner's it seems the 35-year-old isn't decided if she's done with the action series.

Speaking to HuffPost Live (via Us Magazine), she spoke about a possible character return. She admitted that following Walker's death, she and the rest of the cast took a long break unsure if they would return.

"I don't know [if I'd do another film], but it's always dependent on the fans. If they want one and if there's an appetite for it. We never want to jump the shark!"

It was revealed by franchise star Vin Diesel that "Fast and "Furious 8" is set for release on April 28, 2017. "So, if fate has it - fate, F8 - then you'll get it. 'Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul," said the actor.

He continued to detail that the eight installment will be based in New York City and added that new character Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) will be be incorporated in a larger role. The plot will be focused on taking on corrupt government officials, wrote Christianity Daily.

Cody Walker's Returning?

In addition to established industry stars, one other name that's being tossed in the mix is Cody Walker who acted as a body double for Paul in order to complete the project. As reported earlier that the 26-year-old is looking to pursue a career in Hollywood. Should the actor become part of the sequel, it's possible he will return as an entirely different character that's somehow related to Brian O'Connor.

"It's an experience that I was very hesitant to commit to, but I'm really glad I did," quoted E! News of Cody. "I met a ton of really amazing people and made several life-long friendships. It was an absolute roller coaster throughout the entire process -- lots of tears, lots of laughs."

"Furious 7" director James Wan will not be directing the sequel, Justin Lin will has been announced to helm the eight franchise film.
