‘Clash of Clans’ April 2015 Update: Air Sweeper Feature Released Apr. 30

"Clash of Clans" is one of today's most played mobile games, and it just got its latest update this month. The game's April update can give the gamer access to a new army unit, improvements to clan mechanics and wars, and some tweaks to the game's user interface and general gameplay.

The new unit is aimed at air attackers and is called Air Sweeper. Just like its name suggests, it is amazingly efficient in fending off flying attackers. Although it does not necessarily deal any damage, it is good at slowing down the air raids with strong blasts of air. Since the unit does not really kill off any enemies - it just slows them down - some players are reportedly not enthused about it, according to International Business Times.

However, this new unit can only be unlocked once the Town Hall is upgraded to level six. This means that starting players will have to work harder and quicker to get to the higher levels to access this particular unit. The changes brought by the Air Sweeper update can be found at the Super Cell Forum page for "Clash of Clans."

A couple of days ago, however, a maintenance problem was experienced by "Clash of Clans" gamers. According to Super Cell, there was a quick server maintenance that they had to run to fix "some bugs that occurred during the update." With the update perfectly in place now, gamers can play "COC" in peace.

Another added detail is the bookmarking feature. Before the update, gamers have to search for a clan by typing in the exact letters, words, or numbers. Now, the bookmarking feature allows players to easily bookmark a certain clan for future viewing. According to the report, a maximum of 30 clans can be bookmarked.

Moreover, to provide gamers with a better Clan War experience, Super Cell made an army preview possible even before the clan war commences. There were also some noticeable changes in the chat window for the clan, defense ranges, defense modes, and defense buildings. In addition, players can have a one-time chance to change the name of their village.

Matchmaking has also been improved - much to the delight of "Clash of Clans" players who are still in lower levels. Gamers can now find enemy villages that belong to a similarly leveled village instead of having to no other option but to attack villages with insanely high levels and strong armies.
