'Microsoft Surface Pro 4' Release Date, Specs & Review: New Pro 3 Deals Point to Early Release of Next-Gen Laplet [Rumors]

The rumors regarding the upcoming release of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 heats up as deals for the latest model, the Pro 3 continue.

One of the usual indicators of an upcoming product release will be the sale of existing models to make way for new stock arrival, which seems to be the case with the Microsoft Surface Pro line.

According to Android Origin, the successor of the popular Surface Pro 3 could be announced as early as the upcoming Build Conference to be held from April 29 to May 1. Over the past few months, the Pro 3 (via its online store) has been receiving discounts across its range of models, with some going as high as $150.

The entry-level model with an Intel i3, 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM is still selling at $799 but buyers can avail of a free sleeve. Next up would be the128GB of storage, 4GB of RAM and an Intel i5 processor is down $100 and now available for $899.

The promos continues with larger discounts of $150 for the Pro 3 with an i5 processor, 256GB storage, 8GB of RAM now at $1,299. With the same price slash, you can also get the i7 models for only $1,399 for the specs of 256 GB storage and 8GB of RAM while the top of the line with 512 GB storage and 8 GB of RAM is now $1,799.

Getting a Cheap Surface Pro 3

In related news, those who are keen to get their hands on the Surface Pro 3, Master Herald shared that the device is being related in Best Buy for a steal at $600. There are also trade-in programs where those with functioning Surface Pro 3s can get a $200 discount along with an additional $50 gift care.

There has been a ton of speculation surrounding the upcoming tablet. There are rumors that there will be two or three models, the smallest being a rumored Pro Mini coming in at 8-inches while a dual full sized tablet is also speculated which is pegged to be about 12-inches and the largest, 14-inches.

As reported earlier, specs expected to line the Pro 4 include a 2K display, LTE capabilities, Intel's Core M Processor, an 8-MP and 3.5-MP camera and streaming abilities with Xbox.

It's most likely that the Surface Pro 4 launch will be during the April Build Developer's Conference with the release date to take place sometime in June to October 2015. With Windows 10 expected to be launched in the summer, possibly July, this timeline makes the most sense given that tech giant would want the new device to come loaded with its newest software.
