Leonardo DiCaprio Malibu Home Up For Rent at $50,000 During the Summer

Hollywood icon Leonardo DiCaprio has put up his Malibu home for rent. The ocean-front property is up for year-round rental or summer rental (double the price).

According to Trulia, "The Wolf of Wall Street" actor is the owner of the 1,765 square foot home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The luxurious home located along Malibu's "Billionaire's Beach" is available for rent at $23,000 per month during the off season and jumps up to $50,000 monthly during the summer. The home sits along Carbon Beach and given its pristine location, renters can rub elbows with billionaires like David Geffen and Jamie McCourt who have homes in the ultra-exclusive area.

Trulia notes that the home was purchased by DiCaprio a while back. The nearly 2,000 square foot cottage was bought for $1.6 million in 1998 for his mother and now, the average lot in the area is worth approximately $15 million.

For those who are looking to spend some time under the sun and come home to comfortable accommodations, Leo's property is just what you've been looking for.

"The home is a peaceful cottage with hardwood floors, a spacious deck off the living room, spa, and barbecue area - perfect for anyone with a social life as busy as Leo's," described Trulia of the residence.

Outside of its beachfront position, other features to be enjoyed include a wrap around deck with spa for those who want to experience luxury within the residence. However, if sun and sand are what you want, the home has direct access to the sand via a patio staircase, notes Mail Online.

This isn't the first Malibu beach property Leo has been making money from. Prior to sale in 2013, The "Inception" star was also renting out a massive Malibu mansion for $150,000 during summer months until he sold the property for $17.35 million.

Variety notes that these rentals only emphasize the property portfolio of DiCaprio. The Hollywood bachelor has a number of other properties on both the east and west coast.

Since 1999, the actor has owned a 3,500-square-foot Silver Lake home, a mid-century mansion in Palm Springs purchased last year, a pair of condos in Battery Park City complex purchased in 2008 and 2014. Lastly, he also plopped down $10 million on a eco-friendly property in Greenwich Village spanning 3,663-square-feet. The home has hit the market for rent at a reported rate of $25,000 per month.
