Barely a year since tech giant Apple came out with the iOS 8 in time for its iPhone 6 release and followers of its devices are already looking into what's coming with the launch of the iOS 9.
The Tim Cook-led firm has not released any official statement about the upcoming OS but numerous reports came up that refer to the system's possible preview in the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8, said Ordoh.
According to the site, the upcoming OS is dubbed "Monarch" and would reportedly bring new enhancements that center on the device' stability unlike its predecessor, which brought many bugs in its wake.
One thing followers are looking forward to is the size of the update. It could be recalled that the iOS 8 ate a huge 4.6GB chunk out of the device's internal memory, which led some to hope that the next OS would take lesser space.
It is also rumored that the upcoming music stream service of Apple, which was created in partnership with the wireless-based CarPlay application, would arrive with the new iOS to help users battle the boredom in long drives and traffic jams.
With the introduction of Siri in iOS 5, some fans of Apple hope to see an improved version of this language-supported app. Some people tried to manipulate the app to open a locked screen which posed a huge threat in the device's security, said The Fuse Joplin. As such, many users are hoping that this could be finally fixed in the new OS.
To further customize the Apple experience, some fans also suggested a voice recognition feature for Siri so that the app would only follow the command of the smartphone's actual owner, and not everyone who uses it. Other users think that Siri's voice is due for an upgrade as well.
Meanwhile, Apple iPhones have always been notorious in having one of the worst battery lives ever. With this problem, some users wish for a battery saving mode or application that could be customized by the user.
In terms of the technology presented by the upcoming OS, it is noted that some fans are hoping the developers could expand and upgrade the system for enterprise purposes, said Value Walk.
Apple is great in coming up with consumer applications and features but it has not been remarkable in marketing its devices to enterprise application developers.
The iOS 9 is rumored to arrive in September 2015.
