'Star Trek: Renegades' Star Robert Picardo Sells Pasadena Home for $6.5M

"Star Trek: Voyager" star Robert Picardo has sold his Pasadena some for $6.5M, reports Los Angeles Times.

In 2014, the news site noted that Picardo listed his Pasadena home for $7.2M, so the new owner just got a price cut of more than $700K from the original asking price. The new homeowner bought if for exactly $6,475,500.

The Tudor-style home was built in 1913 and showcased the talent of the Rose Bowl architect Myron Hunt, notes LA Times.

The English Tudor-inspired estate reportedly features an almost 8700 sq.ft. main house with six bedrooms, five baths, a family room, a living room, a sunroom and a formal dining room. The buyers will like cooking in the kitchen as it comes with a customized butler's pantry for convenience, notes the outlet. The home is said to include a garage that can accommodate three automobiles, just as long they are not as huge as the "Enterprise."

Apart from the main house, there is also a guesthhouse that measures more than 900 sq.ft consisting of two bedrooms and one bath.

Several activities may be done within the property as it has more than one acre of space that spells fun and comfort. The estate also showcases a swimming pool and an outdoor kitchen, which the family will enjoy in summer.

The 61-year-old actor, known for his role "The Doctor" in the series "Star Trek: Voyager", admitted in May 2006, that he was not a fan of the franchise when he was young, but he became hooked because of an important woman in his life.

According to IMDB, he said: "I came to the Star Trek franchise a little late. I got into it, I married a woman who's a big Star Trek fan, so, even though I was not into it when I was a kid, in order to court my wife I had to go to Star Trek movies. You know, I think she had a thing for Captain Kirk, right when she was hitting puberty -- which is really when they get you! And, uh, I really grew to understand and appreciate the quality of Star Trek storytelling. And then, when I joined the Voyager franchise, and really became knowledgeable about Star Trek -- and watched more and more of the other shows, that preceded us -- I think that I became a Star Trek fan in my own right, as well as a Star Trek actor."

Aside from his role on "Star Trek", he was also cast as a doctor in other projects such as ABC's "China Beach" as Dr. Dick Richard and in the theater play "In The Waiting Room" as Dr. McCaskill, his official fan club website states. Before becoming an actor, he was a pre-med student at Yale University.

However, he has already proven that he can perform other roles effectively. His portrayal of Coach Ed Cutlip in the hit show "The Wonder Years" got him an Emmy Award nomination, say IMDB.

He will have a recurring role in "Star Trek: Renegades" as Dr. Lewis Zimmerman, and the "professionally produced pilot intended for presentation to CBS as a possible online series," could be released in summer 2015, according to its official YouTube channel.
