'The Fault in Our Stars' Writer John Green Lists Indianapolis Home for $329K

John Green, the  famous writer of the young adult novel-turned hit movie, "The Fault in Our Stars," has listed his Indianapolis home for $329K, reports Realtor.com.

The outlet notes that this more than 3700 sq. ft. home offers a mix of modern and traditional vibe that could complement many homebuyers' taste. The three-bedroom home that has 2.5 baths has already attracted a buyer but no reported closed transaction has been finalized yet based on records, says Realtor.com.

Even though the author's home is modestly priced, the property reportedly boasts a well-maintained home with modern kitchen equipped with breakfast bar and stainless-steel appliances. The home also offers updated bathrooms, fireplace, two car garage,  hardwood lined floors, and a master bedroom with a large deck. Being a writer, the home comes with a spacious home office with customized bookcases.

The outlet notes that Green himself admitted that he penned his widely-known novels namely "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Paper Towns" in Indianapolis. Who knows, this charming home might be the actual setting where the author wrote the books since he reportedly stayed in the area between 2007 to 2015.

Green recently received another accolade for "The Fault in Our Stars" as the film bagged the Movie of the Year Award at the MTV Movie Awards, reports Huffington Post. He dedicated his speech to Esther Earl, the teen with cancer who moved Green into writing this young adult novel masterpiece.

Green said, "Esther taught me that a short life can also be a good life, and she taught me that people who are living with disability are not defined by those disabilities. And that the lives of people who are living with illness or with disability are just as interesting and complicated and beautiful and interesting as any other lives. Esther, I love you, I miss you, this is for you."

Prior to his speech, the author received kind words himself from Shailene Woodley, the actress who played the cancer-afflicted Hazel Grace Lancaster in the movie, says Huffington Post.

Woodley, who received the Best Female Performance Award, made Green cry as she thanked the author for being an instrument that changed her life, notes the outlet.

"His words will transcend time because they transcend any age. There's not one single demographic that won't be affected by the wisdom and the compassion and the beauty that he laces into every single thing that he does in his life," she said.
