'Psych' Star Maggie Lawson Sold Hollywood Hills Home For $1.2M

"Psych" actress Maggie Lawson has recently sold her Hollywood Hills home for a little over $1.2M -- $1, 205,000 to be exact, reports Los Angeles Times.

The lovely cottage, built in 1928, was renovated during her stay to complement the actress' taste. The more than 1400 sq.ft.home was upgraded to include a modern kitchen and a storage room off the garage, LA Times notes.

Lawson's former home has many features like open plan areas with hardwood floors, gas fireplace and patios.

The two-bedroom Hollywood Hills cottage which she bought in 2013 for $1.1M, also has two baths and a driveway that could accommodate four cars. Aside from having a well-maintained and beautifully landscaped garden, the house boasts a chic art studio which was the home's old garage. It is spacious, airy and very pleasant to be in, LA Times adds.

Margaret Cassidy Lawson, the actress real name, is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, as noted on IMDB. In her younger years, acting was a really big part of her life. She performed in some dinner theater productions in her community. She even appeared in a Louisville TV station at age 10, and from there, she became a successful TV personality.

Before she turned 18, she tried her luck in Los Angeles, as stated in the database. She had appeared in numerous TV series such as "ER," "Felicity," and "Smallville." However, Lawson, 34, would always be fondly-remembered for her Juliet O' Hara character in the Primetime Emmy Award winning series,"Psych" that run from 2006 to 2014.

In "Psych" she met her co-actor, now long-time life partner, James Roday, a co-artistic director of the theater company Red Dog Squadron. Aside from working with him on "Psych," Lawson acted in a theater production called "Greedy" in 2011 with Roday as the director, notes Canyon News.

"This is going to be an exciting project. Transitioning from my character on 'Psych' to this totally different person for this role has been a bit frightening but even more exciting than I can describe. James is there being supportive and he encourages me to grow in the role we are creating. He makes sure that the actor is a part of the process. Perhaps that's why he's such a great actor himself, he wears both hats very well."

Around the same time last year, RealtyToday stated that the actress sold her Los Feliz home in California measuring almost 2900 sq.ft. with four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The actress just listed the said home in January 2014, as noted by Variety.
