'Samsung Galaxy Note 5' Release Date & Specs: Top Rumors Reported, What to Expect [Round Up Here]

With smartphone updates happening annually, we are likely to get the newest Samsung Note within 2015. While the release is still a while away, here are some specs rumored to come with the next generation device.

Following the innovations put forth by the South Korean firm on the Note 4, specs we can expect in the upgraded device are found below:

Release Date - GottaBeMobile reports that while Samsung typically releases its Note devices during the International Franchise Association (IFA) event, this year, they may unveil the Galaxy Note ahead of the show and introduce the Note 5 by August. It's important to note that the Samsung Galaxy S6 was released a month earlier than usual so a Note 5 early release isn't entirely impossible

Display - A number of sources have indicated that taking off from the specs sported by the Note 5, the next phablet could have a 4K resolution display with a 5.9-inch screen, reports Value Walk.

Processor - Following processor over-heating issues with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810, both model of the Galaxy S6 are currently running with Samsung's Exynos 7 octa-core processor, the chip maker is believed to be working on winning the Note 5 contract .

"Nevertheless, Qualcomm is striving to win processor orders for Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 slated for release in the second half of 2015, the sources indicated. TSMC could stand a chance of obtaining orders from Qualcomm for chips used in the upcoming large-screen device," quoted DigiTimes of an unnamed source.

Battery - A boosted resolution, 4K to be specific, will have performance implications, one of which would be on batter life. Samsung has been a leader in device batteries and analysts are suggesting that the Galaxy Note 5 would come with a 20 per cent battery improvement making a 4,000 mAh a suggested feature, notes Value Walk.

Additional Features - Other specs being reported to come with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 include virtual reality to link with its Galaxy Gear VR technology, wireless charging to improve user's ease of use, possible over-20 MP rear cameras as well as bio-metric features like fingerprint sensors and retina scanners.

Two Model Release

Like the Samsung Galaxy S6, we could see a two model release from Samsung that will give users an edge option. However, multiple sources indicate it's possible a single model release will have an edge feature.

It's estimated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be priced at about $900 to $1,000 out of contract.

Stay tuned for more.
