Katy Perry and John Mayer have had their share of relationship difficulties and new reports indicate that the couple, who have been involved in an on-again-off-again relationship for a number of years, have once again split up. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Perry, 30, and Mayer, 37, have been secretly dating but have once again gone their separate ways.
E! News reported that sources say that the "Daughters" singer has been telling his friends that the relationship is pretty much a done deal and they are "over for good."
While in the past it was believed that the pair's busy celebrity schedules were at the heart of their split, this time, the publication revealed that it has become more than a lack of time. Apparently, Mayer has lost that loving feeling and now doesn't feel an "emotional interest" in the "Roar" singer.

Now that John has finally gotten over the Super Bowl Halftime show stopper, InTouch (via Hollywood Life) reported that Mayer's ex-girlfriend has been trying to get with him.
Apparently, immediately after Perry and Mayer called it quits, John's former flame Taylor Swift, 25, has reached out to him. The country-turned-pop singer is attempting to get with John but not in a romantic way.
"She's reached out to him to do a duet," reports InTouch but it remains to be seen if Mayer will take her up on the offer.
However, multiple sources have noted that the request seems a bit odd given that T-Swizzle was pretty direct when she sang the scarring track "Dear John," heavily rumored to have been about Mayer.
Taylor Vs Katy Feud
There have been rampant rumors that the two singing sensation don't see eye to eye. According to a Rolling Stone's interview, Taylor revealed that she and another female pop star were "straight-up enemies."
Many believe that Swift is talking about Perry who posted a cryptic social media post following the release of the interview.
The feud supposedly stemmed from dancer issues wherein three of Taylor's dancers left the Red Tour to join Katy's Prismatic World tour but others surmise it also has to do with John Mayer.
