‘Mission: Impossible 5’ Trailer, Plot & Cast: Tom Cruise’s Daredevil Plane Ride Featured in ‘Rogue Nation’ Teaser

“Mission: Impossible 5,” which has been given a subtitle of “Rogue Nation,” just rolled out its trailer. Tom Cruise returned to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt and the action blockbuster was directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

“Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” will be premiering on big screens on July 31 this year. Fans of the franchise cannot wait to finally get to watch the film in its entirety, especially after Screen Rant revealed that Cruise, himself, did his own stunts.

The stunts that Cruise completed were unique and downright ridiculous. He had to climb up and run down what is recognized as the tallest building in the world. Apart from that, he also strapped himself to the side of an Airbus A400 when the plane was still taking off.

In addition to the death-defying stunts that Cruise did for “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,” the film made headlines because of its title. It shares a keyword with “Rogue One,” a spinoff from the “Star Wars” franchise of Disney and Lucasfilm.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount first registered and cleared the title with the Motion Picture Association of America last January which was way before Robert Iger, the chairman and CEO of Walt Disney, announced “Rogue One.”

The report mentioned that Disney may not have cleared its title which means that Paramount could not have done anything to block the title since they were not aware that Lucasfilm and Disney had plans of using “Rogue” in their title as well.

To iron out all wrinkles, the two mega studios came to an agreement that Disney will not mention “Rogue One” in any promotional material this summer except for the “Star Wars” fan event that was already scheduled for April.

Since “Rogue One” will not be out until the end of 2016, the only “Rogue” movie as of the moment will be Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible 5.”

Ethan Hunt, accompanied by his team, has to come face to face with The Syndicate. This time, however, they did it without the support and protection from Washington. Their tasks are made even more “impossible” since bureaucrats mandated the abolition of the Impossible Mission Force.

Basically, The Syndicate is the bad guy counterpart of the IMF. This means that the team will be fighting against agents who are equally as skilled as them.

Cruise will be joined by Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Ferguson.
