Kenny Rogers' L.A. Mansion Sold For $50 Million to Casino Mogul?

The Los Angeles estate previously owned by country music icon Kenny Rogers has been sold with all items inside for $50 million.

In a new report by the Wall Street Journal, the newly renovated residence was purchased below the asking price of $65 million advertised in December.

Per the Listing, the estate in Bel Air called Liongate is estimated to span a massive 24,000 square feet that includes 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms to boot. The new owner will also enjoy a total of 3 living areas, a study, billiards room, a private movie theater, wine room, glass elevator as well as a luxurious terrace that overlooks a Paul Williams swimming pool.

Other amenities include a lush garden, tennis courts, fitness facility, private ballroom, 5-car garage, 25-car parking space and a dining room outfitted with fireplace in addition to service areas with multiple butler pantries.

The description offered below was listed about Lionsgate:

"This extraordinary property offers an opportunity to own a piece of history with great distinction. Drawing upon the influence of this building's architecture and unique attributes of place and time, the interiors have revealed themselves to their inhabitants as a series of completely seamless experiences.

While many will dream, few will again pursue the challenge of building a modern day estate without compromise to either design integrity or the craft of execution.

Throughout the property, custom and authenticated architectural interiors merge with a rare assemblage of furnishings and finishes to yield interiors, which have received so many local accolades.

Livability and relaxed luxury were the guiding considerations of the complex design effort that created this unique estate.

Originally built by world renowned and celebrated architect Paul Williams, on nearly 2 acres of completely private land in Prime Lower Bel-Air.  This estate has been re-imagined and generously expanded from the ground up with no expense spared and completely maintains the true integrity of the original architect. Local architect Dean Larkin was the guiding force of this effort.

Located at the pinnacle of a long private gated driveway, on a rare street-to-street lot (Upper Gate on Nimes Lower Gate on St. Pierre Road) 2 of the most exclusive streets in Bel-Air, both entrances boast formal entries."

The sale was confirmed by Mia Trudeau of Hilton & Hyland who shared that an undisclosed buyer -- not Wynn Resorts CEO Steve Wynn -- purchased the sprawling residence for the discounted price to include all the home's furniture and artwork.

Ms. Trudeau did reveal that the buyer is American and selected this historic, re-designed estate after exploring a number of "top estates in L.A."

Kenny Rogers, whose full name is Kenneth Donald, is an American singer-songwriter, photographer, entrepreneur, author and much more. Rogers is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
