Jeremy Lin Lakers: JLin's Best Places in LA

The guy's been called by many names. The Linja Assassin, Linception, Linvincible, Mr. Lincredible, Super Lintendo: you name it, as long as it's cool, creative, and of course, the patronymic three-letter word included.

But, the Los Angeles Lakers' court general would be best remembered as the "Linsanity". The term was coined back in his heydays as the New York Knicks' biggest season revelation turned phenomenon. He just blew everyone away with his on-court display of exceptional play, late-game heroics, and a string of NBA games wherein he put up pretty unbelievable numbers.

He was also dubbed as "Linderella"; perhaps, the fairytale-like journey of that young kid from Palo Alto finding his way into the bright lights of L.A. couldn't be more aptly named than that.

And, it did not take time before he found his way around the City of Angels, as well. In a Discover Los Angeles Blog, Jeremy Lin reveals the top places in L.A. to hangout and dine in. Here's the roundup of his top five:

BESTIA

"The best restaurant in L.A." according to the Lakers guard. For him, there's just something special about the taste of the food in Bestia. And, their bone marrow, he said, is a must-try.

ROSCOE'S CHICKEN AND WAFFLES

Cheat day for any athlete and fitness enthusiast is a welcome relief from all the excruciating hard work. For Jeremy, it means a bunch of fried chicken and waffles. And, eating at Roscoe's is a tradition that dates back from his childhood days, eating out in the place whenever he had the chance to visit L.A.

TENDER GREENS

Jeremy is not a big fan of eating veggies, but he's a frequenter at Tender Greens because of their fresh and healthy food; and not to mention, tasty and affordable.

IKE'S PLACE SANDWICHES

This place is so cool they even let the man create his own sandwich, and then put it on the menu. Jeremy Lin did not say much about "the sandwich" other than it has a secret ingredient.

FISHING OFF AT REDONDO BEACH PIER

One of Jeremy Lin's idea of a late night R&R after a hard days' work is chilling out at Redondo Pier. Here, he goes fishing and crabbing with his brother. Well, let's just say, he isn't as successful with the tackle as he is with his basketball.

Now, the guy does know his city pretty well to come up with his own version of "Best places in L.A." list -- that's got to count for something. He could very well pass for our favorite L.A. "travel LINformant"-- not too shabby, huh?
