Home Decor Trends 2015: What's Hot This Year?

What are the hottest trends this 2015? See the list below.

Gold fixtures

Out with the silver or the stainless fixtures. To add some more luster in your homes this 2015 try putting gold fixtures, says Zillow.

According to Empower Yourself With Color Psychology, gold is a classic and timeless color and it is a hot trend this year. With its allure and elegance, it can bring a sophisticated aura in your house.

Gold signifies wealth and abundance, which create a positive effect for those people living in your home. It may create a spirit of optimism and joy, because of its energetic warmth, resembling the light coming from the Sun.

You may choose fixtures with sleek finish to further complement its elegance. Gold is better to enhance other objects so it is best to use it in moderation. We do not like it to be overpowering and loud so just a hint of luxury will do. Such a subtle display of sophistication is even more attractive.

Wallpaper

According to Zillow designer of Beckwith Interiors, "Wallpaper is coming back in a big way," Either from digital prints to textured wall coverings, it is a hot trend for this year 2015.

Resist to paint your rooms. Rather, create your own prints. Your imagination should not hinder you in creating what suits your personality best.

Deep Blue Decors

With Marsala as the Pantone Color of the year, a perfect complement must be used for an optimum combination. Zillow recommends blue as its perfect partner.

Out with the too bright colors like lilac, orange and yellow because they may not be compatible with your home the whole year, especially if paired with Marsala. For earth tones like Marsala, throw in some indigo blue or deeper shades of blue. The deep tones of such blue hues become more apparent with Marsala's warm tones, Zillow notes.

All-Linen Beddings

Don't you want a relaxing bed to come home to?

Stuff says all-linen bed is a good choice. That kind of comforting look is all it takes to be a hot pick for this year. Nothing more relaxing than pure linen bedding that lures you to come home and rest. Not not only duvets, but sheet sets and throw pillows can be made from linen as well.

Its consistent texture allows you to play and mix with colors. An attractive print is also a welcome twist.

Texture

The Ugly Duckling House recommends having texture incorporate in home decor this year.

Texture in many forms like woven materials, leather and well-crafted tables, are creating waves this year. Start it with your chairs or tables. Choose one or two to display. A furniture with texture definitely stands out and yet has this homey feel.
