Would You Buy This $30K Dream Doghouse by Samsung?

Samsung, one of the world's leaders in innovation in the field of electronics technology, has made a luxury dwelling place for the dogs of the rich, as reported by Curbed . It is now making its appearance at the 2015 Crufts dog show in Birmingham, England from Mar. 5 until Mar. 8.

The chic kennel with rounded corners, was designed and created for more than 1 and a half months and the expenses amounted to about $30,000.

The expensive Dream Doghouse tasked Brian Dowling, Director of Production, and Tobby Hadden, Project Manager, to create the very luxurious kennel for the pampered pets of the ultra-rich, as seen in the Youtube video below.

There are several "amenities" that come with this expensive Dream Doghouse. It has an AstroTurf treadmill, layered with soft grass-like material, to let the dogs exercise and stay fit.

It also has a hydro-therapy pool, for rejuvenation because the makers said, "the dog has gone out for long walks" and of course, must be tired and needs some relaxing pool.

There is also a paw-operated snack dispenser, that releases dog pellets when the canine presses the button.

Dowling and Hadden also put up some designer vinyl wallpaper, "coupled with several images of dogs" for a more homey feel.

As another form of fun-time and relaxation, there's a built-in Samsung tablet for dogs to watch in comfort, surrounded by a soft pillow, in a room with upholstered soft flooring.

Samsung UK President introduced the Samsung Dog Dreamhouse as "sleek and modern" and "featuring the kind of tech the discerning dog of the future will need."

This is not the first time the ideas of luxury doghouses were introduced in the market. Starchitect dog houses designed in Japan have been out in the past, as reported by Curbed . These starchitect dog houses were designed by Japanese graphic designer Kenya Hara.

It may be true that the expensive kennel looks very sleek, elegant and modern with its simple but functional appeal but $30K for a doghouse?

Even if they were designed with comfort in mind, it will take highly-trained dogs to not destroy their abodes. Pillows may be scracthed, the vinyl wall damaged, and who knows what will happen to the Samsung tablet!

Aside from that, the earth-covered treadmill must be maintained well for the grass to grow well and the pool may soon be too small for the puppy as it ages, needing an upgrade.

So, perhaps we are looking for a Samsung Dream DogHouse 2 some time in the future?
