Actors Nikki Reed and fiance Ian Somerhalder were engaged earlier this year and new insider leaks detail what the couple are planning for their special day.
In a new report by Hollywood Life, the "Twilight" actress her beau are planning a romantic outdoor ceremony. "They do want an outside wedding and they also want it to be very intimate," said the site's source and added that "They [Nikki and Ian] definitely want the feel of it to be outside near where they live."
Now, while these details are coming to light, the source also revealed that there hasn't been much planning happening because the couple have had other things on their mind.
Apparently, part of the reason why the couple want to have an outdoor wedding is because they're both animal lovers. Hollywood Life's insider claims that the couple want their beloved pets -- a mix of dogs and horses -- to be able to "attend" and be a part of the festivities.
Guests and Invitations
While an outdoor wedding would allow for a larger audience and guest list, similar to the other private celebrity couples, the soon-to-be-Somerhalders want to have a small, intimate wedding that will be composed mostly of their loved ones.
The source described the guest list as "nothing crazy, with mostly close family to be there."
One question on everyone's mind is whether Ian Somerhalder's co-star and ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev will be invited. Prior to Ian and Nikki's romance, Nina and Nikki were actually friends so this would indicate whether or not there's bad blood.
In an earlier report, Hollywood Life wrote that the couple have plans to extend an invitation to Somerhalder's former flame. Since the love birds want to share "their happiness including his work family - The Vampire Diaries cast and crew," naturally Dobrev, 26, will get an invite.
However, the insider also shared that deciding what to do was a bit awkward, "It's a very weird predicament for Ian and Nikki." "If it is a big wedding Ian feels that he has to ask Nina to go, but anticipates her to respectfully decline. That would be a win win," they shared.
It was also admitted that a smaller wedding size might be the solution, "They may actually dodge future awkwardness by having a very intimate wedding with just family and then they can make the excuse that they didn't invite any cast members. One thing for sure is that it is a problem they are definitely trying to figure out," said the insider.
Well, now that we know the wedding will be small and intimate, this could mean Nina won't be getting an invite for the special day.
