'Avengers 2: Age of Ultron' Trailer & Plot: Top 5 Spoilers From the Third Trailer [Rumor Round Up Here]

The third trailer for summer blockbuster "Avengers: Age of Ultron" was just revealed and thanks to the people at Marvel, we know a little bit more about what to expect in the upcoming film.

Based on the newly-released film footage, below are the top 5 spoilers for the film deciphered from the video teaser:

  1. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch - As usual, the trailer begins with a monologue by Ultron (James Spader) but the first footage we see is that of Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) seemingly in cahoots with Ultron as he explains to them he was created to give hope. Throughout the video we see the siblings fight the Avengers but ABC News does note that, at least for Scarlet Witch, there might possibly be a change of heart.
  2. Romance between Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson)- The site also notes that within the epic footage, we also see a moment where Hulk aka Bruce Banner and the Black Widow/ Natasha Romanoff get interestingly close and look like they might be about to kiss at one point. Could it be that a romance develops amidst all the chaos?
  3. Global Destruction and Mayhem - Obviously as the world comes to an end, we're set to see some major action footage. From entire buildings collapsing and massive fight scenes, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" isn't going to skimp on the action and they'll be hitting all corners of the globe. Based on the footage there's a number of international locations featured.
  4. Loki's Scepter - We see a clip in the video where Iron Man/ Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is holding Loki's scepter. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out as there are rumors the item holds the Mind stone.
  5. Mind Control - Around the 1:39 mark, we see Scarlet Witch using her red rays of power on the Window as her eyes turn red. IGN reports that this scene confirms the earlier theory of mental control when the Hulk's eyes were "red because he was being manipulated by Scarlet Witch. Scarlet Witch's powers are probably how we are able to see those flashbacks about a young Widow in the Red Room -- the Black Widow program that turns little girls into assassins, as glimpsed in the Agent Carter TV show."

The plot for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" centers on the peacekeeping program developed by Iron Man goes awry and Ultron, an artificial intelligence, seeks to destroy the world.

If you haven't seen the newest trailer, below is the third trailer for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" spanning two minutes and 18 seconds.

The "Avengers" sequel is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
