Former MLB Star Aaron Boone Selling Scottsdale Desert Pad for $2.69M

Buyers looking to enjoy the warmth and brightness of the Arizona desert would now have an opportunity to own a piece of real estate from the sunny area of Scottsdale. Reports have circulated that former Major League Baseball player Aaron Boone has put up his property for sale located in one of the exclusive villages in the area. The property can be acquired for the price of $2,695,000.

In a report by Realtor.com, the house owned by the "Baseball Tonight" game analyst has been placed on sale as he spends most of his time in Connecticut for his commentating position in ESPN.

The whole property rests on almost half an acre of land at the gated community of Silverleaf in Scottsdale. The exclusive neighborhood sits strategically at the hillside of the McDowell Mountains, said Realtor.com.

The location affords the owner a magnificent and unobstructed view of the mountains and another perk of the property is its location at the corner of the community.

According to listing agent Natasha Greenlagh, "A lot of houses there have a shared alley that leads to your own driveway. This house has a unique lot. It's on a corner with unobstructed mountain views."

"And they have their own private cobblestone drive," noted the agent.

In fact, according to Greenlagh, the property "is the best lot in that whole subdivision."

She added, "It's definitely a premium lot."

The 5,850 square-foot house was built in 2006. It has six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Aside from that, there is also a family room, a game room and a den, which could be turned into an office.

The house also has quest rooms with a separate entrance for added privacy.

If one gets bored with the numerous activities to do inside, one could simply step out to enjoy the view in the balcony and patio.

To cool down, a swimming pool beside the patio could be enjoyed by both residents and visitors. For the more sporty types, a mini basketball court beside a small golf course could also be good ways to unwind.

When Boone took over the house, the former NY Yankees player renovated the Tuscan-style home to give it a more modern feel that contrasts the architecture.

"They did a really good job of making the house contemporary but also doing things to keep the warmth, so it doesn't have a cold, metal-type feel," said Greenlagh.

Potential buyers could still do more with the house as it has lots of spaces that is flexible for whatever use would cross the owner's mind.

The house itself is made of high archways, hardwood floors, wood-beam ceilings and a warm color palette that is perfect for its location.
