The hotly-anticipated sequel to summer hit "Pitch Perfect" may have a surprise appearance by a pro-athlete.
According to a new report by KOCO.com, NBA player Russell Westbrook is seem in a promotional photo in the "Pitch Perfect 2" official website.
In the photo, Westbrook is seen posing in the middle of the movie's cast as they all sport athletic wear. The banner of the snap reads, "ACA-AWESOME ALL-STARS."
This may just be a congratulatory shout-out to whoever would have been named MVP but it does open up the possibility that this may be a tease.
The publication continued to note that there has been no official word or listing of the player in film promotional materials but while " there are no indications he is in the movie, although the movie does have a major sports connection in that one of the a capella teams shown in the preview is comprised of members of the Green Bay Packers."
So, Russell Westbrook fans can cross their fingers, there is a chance that the newly minted All-Star Game MVP could be surprising us all on the big-screen.
Westbrook put on a spectacular show during the All-Star game. Putting up 41 points, the baller was just one point away from tying the record high score. Westbrook led the Western Conference in bagging the win with a 163-158 final score.
"Pitch Perfect 2" Plot Details
For those who are eager to know more about the upcoming second installment of the musical comedy, Elizabeth Banks is returning to the franchise no longer as just one of the cast but has been named the director of the film that will be her directorial debut.
Speaking to Yahoo! earlier, Banks revealed that the film will center on the girls' senior year.
"The girls are now graduating seniors. They're coming to the end of their time as Bellas and figuring out how to sort of leave the nest and the comfort of each other's friendship and figure out what they're going to do with the rest of their lives."
The film will feature a returning cast that includes Bardon Bellas Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hana Mae Lee, and Alexis Knapp along with Skylar Astin and Adam Devine, members of the Treblemakers.
