Kobe 10 ‘Vino’ Release Date, Price & Where to Buy?

Kobe Bryant’s latest shoe design, Kobe 10 “Vino,” depicts a part of the basketball icon’s history. It will be out by March 7, 2015 at $180 in selected Nike Basketball retailers, such as Oneness.

According to Nike, Bryant found that bonding over a glass or two of wine is “a great way to solidify trust” within their group, both as team mates and as friends. This statement has served as the inspiration for Bryant’s 10th signature shoe, the Kobe 10 “Vino.”

This style’s color way was inspired by the color tone that comes from green grapes, which are used for making white wine. As a whole, the design “evokes transparency” through its translucent appeal, as well as with its unique color scheme.

Sneaker Bar Detroit says that the design is also inspired by the quote, “Like wine, the Mamba gets better with age.”

When Bryant was still starting off in the field of basketball, the first members of the Los Angeles Lakers that he immediately became friends with were Rick Fox and Derek Fisher. According to Lakers Nation, his first meeting with them was made over dinner and wine.

It was then that Bryant had reportedly learned about the importance of proper communication, which is a skill that he has now mastered as a leader on the basketball court. When he is able to communicate with the members of his team, his game improves and gets better with age, just like wine, or “vino” does.

The Kobe 10 “Vino” is predominantly dressed in a Sequoia, Poison Green, and Volt color scheme. Poison Green covers its entire upper mesh portion with a unique Sequoia detailing that was further accentuated by Volt colors. The Volt accents are found on the shoe’s graphic part and the inner lining of its tongue, according to Sneaker News. There is a translucent overlay on its midsole and a line of small teeth to add extra grip to hardwood floors.

Thankfully for children who also want to get their hands on this model, or fathers who want their sons to have a pair, the Nike Kobe 10 “Vino” will also be available in children’s sizes at a cheaper price of $135. The shoe’s grade school sizes will also be out on March 7, together with its adult versions.

The newly released Nike Kobe 10 “Vino” was actually unveiled by the mega sportswear company during the Kobe X Blackout Experience. The shoes will be released in the market with other merchandise, such as socks, a ball cap, and a T-shirt.
