GTA 5 Online' Heists Release Date & Update: Storyline DLC, Zombies, Co-Op Gameplay Coming? [Rumors]

The delays experienced by fans in waiting for the "Heists DLC" to arrive in the "Grand Theft Auto V" produced a lot of gameplay and DLC leaks. While none of these were confirmed by the game's developers, new leaks continue to come out. If rumors are to be believed, then the upcoming "Heists" update would feature an expanded storyline for the game's main characters Trevor, Franklin, and Michael.

According to Game Ranx, an insider from Rockstar Games revealed that developers are cooking up a major update on the storyline of the game.

The source reportedly told Game Center Online that," We've spent a good amount of time working on the Online Heists and the remaster, however we haven't forgotten about Michael, Franklin and Trevor's story."

It further added that the new update would be "monumental." However, no exact date was given by the source regarding the release of the updated storyline for "GTA V" but he noted that Rockstar Games will make an announcement soon.

Meanwhile, if the latest leaks on a "Prison Break" mission complete with heavy-duty vehicles and tsunami experiences are not enough to excite the gamers, perhaps a recent rumor would pique their interest.

A separate report in Game Ranx revealed a new single player DLC for "GTA V." It seems that the developers were not content in just putting additional casino and assassination missions in the game. Reports disclosed that the company behind the game decided to make things more exciting by adding "zombies" to the mix.

A string of code leaked from the game showed the words "main_ZMB." This led many to think that the "ZMB" refers to zombies, which would see the light of day in the upcoming "Heists DLC." This was not confirmed by the developers, so gamers excited to see the rumored addition in the game should take the news with a grain of salt.

While the potential addition of zombies could upgrade the single player experience to a whole new level, what many are waiting for is the co-operative gameplay that the new "Heists" would bring to "GTA V."

Rockstar Games confirmed to The Fuse Joplin that the new "Online Heists" would see four players working together to complete missions.

In an article posted by Newswire, the developers said, "Players will have to work as a team because only when they are together, they will be able to pull off the heist as planned. They have to work in raids which will take place in multiple phases and rob stuff. The missions will spread across the entire region of Los Santos as well as Blaine Country."

The "Online Heists" would arrive to consoles on March 10, while "GTA V for PC" would be available on April 14.
