‘Frozen 2’ Release Date & Trailer: 'Frozen Fever' Teaser Released! [Video]

Two years have passed since the animated Disney film, "Frozen," came out and fans of the Oscar-winning movie remains fixated with the story of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle. However, fans would now have a new thing excite them as a new short film based on the movie will be released this year. The trailer for Disney's "Frozen Fever" was released over the weekend, and it showed a new aspect of everyone's favorite ice queen and princess.

According to USA Today, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, who were both behind the Award-winning animated movie, would return to direct the short reel.

Based on the trailer, Queen Elsa has been planning a party for Princess Anna's birthday to make it really special. She enlisted the help of Kristoff, Sven the reindeer, and Olaf the snowman to come up with something that would make the princess' day really exciting.

However, not everything goes according to plan as the Queen, whose famous line in the movie, "the cold never bothered me anyway," seemed to be hit with the sniffles. The princess became worried but Elsa disregarded the concern and reiterated that she has never been affected by the chilly weather.

The trailer also featured another original track by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who brought the famous "Let It Go" song to the movie "Frozen."

The new song titled, "Making Today A Perfect Day," is set to be the anthem for the upcoming short film.

One thing fans could expect from the short clip aside from the new song is seeing Elsa and Anna dressed in emerald green dresses, a fresh take on the sisters' outfits, which were blue and purple in the original film.

While it is not exactly a full-blown sequel to "Frozen," the seven-minute film promises to delight animation and "Frozen" fans alike on March 13.

The short reel would be shown on theaters when the Disney live-action film, "Cinderella," gets released. A report in Master Herald noted that the famous company would use the sequel of sorts as a way to promote its latest full feature film.

Idina Menzel, Kirsten Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad would return to lend their voices for Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf respectively, said The Daily Mail.
