'Mass Effect 4' XBox One, PS4 & PC Trailer & Release: Game Out 2016? Improved Cinematics, Single Player Gaming & More [Rumour Round Up]

BioWare, the developer of the "Mass Effect" series, is currently hard at work developing the newest title for the franchise.

"Mass Effect 4" is the follow up to the 2012 sci-fi action role-playing third person shooter video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for a number of consoles that include Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.

Release Date

While BioWare hasn't provided a set release date, it's been reported that the date of release was leaked via the LinkedIn page of a BioWare developer. The information claims that the release date is set for late 2016.

Cyberland (via KDramastars) reported that alleged Software Engineer, Kevin Plitzko has revealed in his LinkedIn page that he is working on "Mass Effect 4" and that it is allegedly going to be released on October 2016.

"Kevin Plitzko, a software engineer over at BioWare said in his LinkedIn profile (it's set to private now) that the next Mass Effect game would be launched on October...next year," reported Cyberland. In addition to the claimed release date, Cyberland added that fans can, "Expect a cinematic teaser reveal at E3."

According to a report by numerous sources, to differentiate the fourth title for "Mass Effect" from its predecessors, there are a number of features being added to the game that will elevate the gaming experiences.

In a recent article published by The Inquisitr, BioWare is said to be looking to enhance gameplay by creating "more realistic and believable cinematics within their upcoming titles, such as the next Mass Effect game."

Based on a job posting, the developer is looking for someone to be its new Senior Cinematic Animator for the firm's Montreal studio, the team behind the development of both "Mass Effect" and its other successful series, "Dragon Age."

Attack of the Fanboy does note that while the ad didn't specifically mention "Mass Effect" the position itself and the studio-based are indications that the game will be involved.

It's also good to keep in mind that a 2016 release date is more likely that a 2015 launch because the position, quite a vital one at that, has yet to be filled. There is probably quite a bit of work to be sorted out before the game is ready for release.

Better than "Dragon Age: Inquisition" and "The Order 1886"?

In addition to cinematic animation, The Fuse Joplin adds that fans can expect a great single player story, teased Chris Wynn, the senior development director of Mass Effect series. The site continued to add that "Mass Effect 4" will be better than its sister franchises, "Dragon Age: Inquisition" and "The Order 1886."

"Mass Effect 4" will be released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
