‘Expendables 4’ Cast & Plot: Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Jackie Chan, Manny Pacquiao on Board in Sequel? [Rumors]

A report from KPopStarz confirmed that there will be two professional wrestling icons from the WWE who might be part of the upcoming “Expendables 4” blockbuster, namely, The Rock and Hulk Hogan. According to the article, Blitz.bg, a Bulgarian news outlet, first reported that the Hulkster was actually on his way to Bulgaria to start filming.

Moreover, a separate article from KPopStarz says that martial arts expert, Jackie Chan, and boxing champion, Manny Pacquiao might be included in the “Expendables 4.”

“Hulk Hogan is expected to visit Bulgaria for filming action movie, ‘The Expendables 4,’” stated the article, as translated by expendablespremiere. “As of the moment, The Hulk has not shared with fans whether he will be a hero or villain. Hogan was friends with the creator of the action series, Sylvester Stallone. They became close friends since 1982, when Hogan starred in ‘Rocky III.’”

Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson, more famously known as The Rock, already specified to the press last year that he wants to be cast as a villain in “Expendables 4.” “I don’t want to be on their team and be buddies with them,” he said. “F**k that noise. I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them ‘I’ll send your soul to Heaven ‘cause your a** is mine.’”

With regard Chan’s actual participation in the action-packed film, there are two different kinds of rumors floating around. Breathecast says that both news outlets, Venture Capital Post and Franchise Herald, have different things to say.

The former publication shared that it was highly unlikely for the Chinese actor to star in the film since he was far too busy with his own movies. Meanwhile, the latter article reported that Chan was only interested in participating in a movie that involved only himself and Stallone.

Crave Online also reported that the “Expendables 4” might feature a time travel storyline, with the team traveling back to the World War II era and going head-to-head with Adolf Hitler. Although it may sound quite bizarre and over-reaching, director Patrick Hughes claims he wants to “break outside the box.”

“Let’s do something really different,” he said. “I was, like, ‘You need to add a level of sci-fi.’ So, it’s an action sci-fi. The slant of the sci-fi has something to do with a time machine, where they go through some void, right? And The Expendables land on the beach on D-Day, and it’s them sweeping the Nazis out of France!”

As of the moment, it remains unclear whether Hughes was only joking or if he was actually serious about incorporating a time machine angle.
