Remember, home renovations don't have to cost an arm and a leg, by making the right choices and planning properly, these relatively manageable projects can go a long way. Here we rounded up the top renovation projects you may wish to consider:

  • Garage Door Replacement - A garage, while very practical in one's home, usually comes with a standard appearance. Why be like everyone else when you can stand out and give your home an upgraded look by making your garage a home accent? Aside from upgrading to a better opening mechanism, you may consider adding a small roof or customizing the garage doors to make it more pleasing to the eyes. With an investment o $1,600 you can see an 88.4% return on investments.
  • Window Upgrade - Replacing your windows after years of use can bring in a 78.8% return with an average of $11,300 investment. You may opt for wood window frames that will provide aesthetics but also help provide greater insulation. Yahoo Homes reports that a slightly cheaper alternative, vinyl window frames, will give a similar 72.9% ROI with an investment of about $11,200. 
  • Front Door Replacement - Hit two birds with one stone with a steel-made front door. This affordable project costs an average of $1,230 and will bring in a 101.8% ROI, reports Yahoo! This is the least expensive cost-to-value investment project for 2015. 
  • Kitchen Improvement - The kitchen is one of the most used and important spaces in a home. Aside from it being a family area and a valuable space in a home, a "facelift" that includes new major appliances, revisited cabinets and countertops bring in a 79.3% ROI with an average cost of abut $19,200. 
  • Roofing Replacement - There is an increase in roof replacement value since 2015, reports Realty Times. One can expect a 5.9% in ROI from 2014 values with an average cost of $7,740. Remove your roofing completely and remodel the top of your home for a more attractive external appearance.
