'Bond' Movie Star Pierce Brosnan Renovating Maibu Home After Fire [See Here]

"Bond" actor Pierce Brosnan's Malibu home was damaged following a blaze that happened a week earlier. Mail Online reports that a week after the devastating fire, the 61-year-old actor has begun renovations on his California mansion.

The site reports that a clean-up crew was spotted on the property on Thursday to begin fire damage restoration. Snaps of the activity were shared by the site but the charred items being removed from the property couldn't be identified.

However, one thing's for sure, there was a lot of destruction considering the volume of items being removed from the fire-ravaged home.

According to the report of KTLA, the beachfront residential blaze was responded to by about 20 firefighters and was declared fire out within 30 minutes. The publication details that the family was present in the home when the fire broke out but fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze.

The "Ghost Writer" was said to be "visibly distraught" outside his home during the incident, says a source of the news outlet. A neighbor also revealed to KTLA that this isn't the first fire on the property.

This is the second blaze, the first was much worse as it destroyed Brosnan's home. "Their last house totally burned down several years ago, then it took them several years to build this house," quoted KTLA of Andy Stern. "It's an unusual house. Going through the permitting process and building it just took a long time."

He further added that the home was "fabulous."

The estimated damage to Brosnan's home goes as high as $1 million dollars, per The Telegraph UK. It is believed that the fire broke out in the garage of the 13,000 sq ft property, estimated to be worth $18 million. The property is located in one of the most posh communities that's ultra-exclusive. Brosnan's fellow celebrity neighbors include the likes of Steven Spielberg, Dustin Hoffman and Danny DeVito.

The Irish actor is best-known for his portrayal of Agent 007 in Bond films that include "Golden Eye," "Die Another Day," "The World is Not Enough," and "Tomorrow Never Dies."

A new installment of the timeless franchise "Bond" stars actor Daniel Craig. The movie, titled, "Spectre" is the 24th installment in the series.

"A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE," is the official plot of the movie.

Video footage of the blaze in Brosnan's home was uploaded by a witness via the YouTube account name Mr. Malibu.
