Bruce Jenner to Serve Jail Time for Manslaughter? Sex Change on Hold?

Bruce Jenner was recently involved in a multi-vehicle pileup, with one dead victim. A new video was acquired by the police, and it looks like the Kardashian-Jenner patriarch was at fault, according to the Associated Press.

“Whatever is being reported right now is not part of our investigation,” the Los Angeles Police Department stated to Us Weekly. “We are still looking at the videos of the crash to determine what happened. We have not deemed who is at fault yet. The investigation is still very much open.” It would appear that the reality TV star will have to put his sex change on hold for a bit longer.

The former Olympian was reportedly driving his Cadillac Escalade while hauling an ATV on an attached trailer when he tried to avoid the cars in front of him along the Pacific Coast Highway. In his attempt to avoid these vehicles, he ended up rear-ending two cars, pushing one of them, a Lexus, onto oncoming traffic.

Fox News said that Kim Howe, 69, immediately died when the car she was driving went on a head-on collision with an oncoming Hummer.

Apart from Howe, CBS Los Angeles said that there were other people hurt by the pileup that might have been caused by Jenner. There were also two young children and an infant injured in the accident. To avoid any further accidents, the Highway was closed for over nine hours since the investigators were still examining the area where the crash occurred.

To date, the Sheriff’s Department of LA is still investigating the cause of the wreck to determine whether to issue a citation that could possibly lead to criminal charges.

Moreover, TMZ says that they were able to recreate the events that transpired leading to the death of one motorist during the crash. According to Hollywood Life, they got it from an MTA bus that allegedly captured the events on the Highway. However, an insider stated that the Malibu Police Department still has not seen the said footage yet, but they do have access to it.

The stories provided by the eyewitnesses were so conflicting that the investigation might take a few months. The possibility that Jenner was responsible for everything – that he was just driving too fast – is still up in the air.

“Bruce has put himself in a tough spot,” said criminal defense lawyer James Silverstein, as per Hollywood Life. “He has admitted driving a vehicle which struck another vehicle, causing at least one death, and several other serious injuries. When someone kills another person while behind the wheel, they can be charged with murder or manslaughter.”
